CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

1.Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Dashing through the snow, In a one horse open sleigh O'er the fields we go, Laughing all the way, Bells on bob tails ring, Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing A sleighing song tonight** Oh, jingle ...

Once in royal Davids city,
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her Baby,
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ, her little Child.

He came down to earth from heaven,
Who is God and Lord of all,
And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall:
With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Saviour holy.

Not in that poor lowly stable,
With the oxen standing by,
We shall see him; but in heaven,
Set at Gods right hand on high;
Where like stars his children crowned
All in white shall wait around.

3. O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

O Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.
Give to our Father glory in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Hail! Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning,

Jesus to thee be all glory
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

4.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

5  Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

6.

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul, With a corncob pipe and a button nose And two eyes made out of coal. Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children Know how he came to life one day. There must have been
some magic in that old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head He began to dance around. O, Frosty the snowman Was alive as he could be, And the children say he could laugh, And play just the same as you and me.Frosty the snowman knew The sun was hot that day, So he said, "Let's run and We'll have some fun. Now before I melt away." Down to the village, With a broomstick in his hand, Running here and there all
Around the square saying, Catch me if you can.
He led them down the streets of town Right to the traffic cop. And he only paused a moment when He heard him holler "Stop!" For Frosty the snow man Had to hurry on his way, But he waved goodbye saying, "Don't you cry, I'll be back again some day."
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go. (2)

7. . While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground,
The angel of the Lord came down,
And glory shone around.

"Fear not," said he, for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds;
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind.

"To you, in David's town, this day,
Is born of David's line
A Savior, who is Christ the Lord;
And this shall be the sign:

The heavenly Babe you there shall find
To human view displayed,
All meanly wrapped in swaddling-bands
And in a manger laid. "

Thus spake the seraph,--and forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels, praising God, and thus
Addressed their joyful song:

"All glory be to God on high,
And to the earth be peace;
Good will henceforth from Heaven to men
Begin and never cease. "

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
play in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then how the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

9. We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts, we traverse far
Field and fountain
Moor and mountain
Following yonder star

 Oh, star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading
Still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light

 Born a king on Bethlehem's plain
Gold we bring to crown him again
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign

Oh, star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading
Still proceeding
Guide us to the perfect light

10

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree!
How lovely are your branches
Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches

Through summer sun and winter snow.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
You are the tree most loved!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
You are the tree most loved!
How often you give us delight
In brightly shining Christmas light!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
You are the tree most loved!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Your beauty green will teach me
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Your beauty green will teach me
That hope and love will ever be
The way to joy and peace for me.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Your beauty green will teach me.

11. When Santa got stuck up the chimney, He began to shout.  You girls and boys, won't get any toys, If you don't pull me out. My beard is black,

There's soot in my sack. My nose is tickly too. When Santa got stuck up the chimney, Aaachooo (3)

 12

O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight

O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel.

 13. Away in a manger, No crib for His bed, The little Lord Jesus, Laid down His sweet head, The stars in the bright sky, Looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus, Asleep on the hay.

 The cattle are lowing, The baby awakes, The little Lord Jesus, No crying He makes, I love Thee, Lord Jesus, Look down from the sky, And stay by my side, 'Til morning is nigh.**

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay, Close by me forever, And love me I pray,  Bless all the dear children, In Thy tender care, And take us to heaven, To live with Thee there

 14. Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright, Round yon Virgin Mother and Child, Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace (x2) **

 Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight, Glories stream from heaven afar,

Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ, the Saviour is born (x2)

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love's pure light, Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth (x2)

15 We wish you a Merry Christmas; (x3) and a Happy New Year. Good tidings we bring to you and your kin; We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Now, bring us a figgy pudding (x3) and bring some out here. Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;  We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

And We won't go until we got some; (x3) so bring some out here. Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;  We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  16  I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, Just like the ones I used to know, Where the treetops glisten,  and children listen, To hear sleigh bells in the snow, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, With every Christmas card I write, May your days be merry and bright, And may all your Christmases be white, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, With every Christmas card I write, May your days be merry and bright , And may all your Christmases be white
